SuperLaunch.io ("SuperLaunch," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by SuperLaunch Technologies LLP. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have over it when you use superlaunch.io and related services (the "Platform").
By using SuperLaunch, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account information. When you sign up as a founder or reviewer, we collect your name and email address, and any profile details you choose to add (e.g. bio, LinkedIn or Twitter/X links).
Tool submissions. If you submit a tool to SuperLaunch, we collect the tool name, tagline, description, category, link, logo/images, and founder details you provide (name, bio, LinkedIn, Twitter).
Reviews and votes. When you vote on a tool or leave a review, we store your vote, your review text, star rating (where applicable), and the date submitted, linked to your account.
Community participation. If you join our Discord server or subscribe to the Behind the Launch newsletter, the respective platform (Discord, Substack) collects information directly under its own privacy policy. We receive limited information back, such as your email for newsletter subscribers.
Usage data. We may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited, typically through [INSERT ANALYTICS TOOL, e.g. Google Analytics / Plausible / none currently].
Communications. If you contact us directly (email, support form, etc.), we keep a record of that correspondence.
We do not currently collect payment information, as SuperLaunch does not process payments on the Platform.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to:
- Create and maintain your account
- Display tool listings, votes, and reviews on the Platform
- Match founders with reviewers and facilitate feedback
- Send newsletter updates, milestone notifications, and reviewer rewards (if you've opted in)
- Maintain the integrity of our voting and review system (e.g. preventing duplicate votes)
- Improve the Platform and understand how it's used
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. How We Share Information
We share information only in the following circumstances:
Public by design: Your name, reviews, votes, and any tool you submit are visible to other users as part of how SuperLaunch works. If you're a founder, the bio/LinkedIn/Twitter details you provide are shown publicly on your tool's page.
Service providers: We use third-party tools to operate the Platform, including Airtable (database/backend), [INSERT EMAIL SERVICE, e.g. Substack], and Discord (community). These providers process data on our behalf and have their own privacy policies.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of SuperLaunch or others.
Business transfers: If SuperLaunch is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We'll notify users if this happens.
4. Cookies and Tracking
SuperLaunch may use cookies or similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them may affect some Platform features (like staying logged in).

5. Data Retention

Public content you've contributed (such as reviews) may remain visible in anonymized form after account deletion, since removing it could distort vote counts and review history for other users.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you're located, you may have rights including:
- Accessing the personal information we hold about you
- Correcting inaccurate information
- Requesting deletion of your account and associated personal data
- Withdrawing consent for communications (e.g. unsubscribing from the newsletter)
- Objecting to certain uses of your data
If you're in India, these rights are provided under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you're in the European Union/UK, you have rights under the GDPR. If you're in California, you have rights under the CCPA.

8. Children's Privacy
SuperLaunch is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.
9. International Users
SuperLaunch is operated from India. If you access the Platform from outside India, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in India or other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.
10. Third-Party Links
SuperLaunch links to third-party tools, websites, and the Discord/Substack platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their policies separately.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify users directly (e.g. via the newsletter or a Platform notice).
