Validate with real usage, not opinionsGet 10 people to actually try a rough version. 'That's a good idea' means nothing. Someone trying to do something with it means everything.
Write your one-sentence positioning firstIf a stranger can't understand what your product does in one sentence, your launch posts will confuse people no matter how good the product is.
Set up analytics before launch dayYou want to know exactly where your first signups came from. You can't reconstruct that after the fact.
Find your 5 to 7 most relevant communitiesNot generic startup subreddits. A smaller, highly relevant community beats a massive generic one every time.
Draft your honest founder story nowThe 'why I built this' story is what gets people to respond, not the feature list. Much harder to write well under launch day pressure.
Prepare your descriptions in advanceHave a one-pager ready so you're not scrambling to write copy across five platforms on launch day.

Post in your most relevant community firstRelevance drives comments and shares far more than raw audience size.
Lead with a question or offer, not an announcement'I built X' gets scrolled past. 'Looking for people who want honest feedback on X' gets replies.
Reply to every comment within the first hourEarly momentum decides whether the algorithm keeps showing your post to more people. That window closes fast.
Don't drop your link upfrontGet people interested and commenting first, then DM them the link individually. This converts far better than posting a link with your ask.
