What is AskVerb?

How it works One script tag puts an Ask AI button in the product. There's no library to install. A verb.md file in the customer's repo lists what the assistant is allowed to do: each action, its arguments, and whether it only reads data or can change or delete it. A coding agent can write the file, and an automatic safety review checks it on import. A user asks in plain words, like "give Priya the same access as Jamie" or "cancel my 3pm booking". The assistant reads that user's live data and calls the product's own API to do it. Why it's safe to let it act It works as the signed-in user. The customer's backend signs a short-lived token, so the assistant can never do more than that person already could. Nothing changes without a yes. Anything that edits or deletes data shows a confirmation card first. Everything is logged. Every action is recorded: what was done, for whom, and whether it worked. There's a sandbox. Every site gets a test twin where actions are simulated. It never touches money. No checkout, payments or card data, by design.
